An interesting aspect of this zen-do, is unlike my usual traditional japanese zen-do, this one blends christianity perfectly with zen. Our zen master was Kathleen O'Reilly, a catholic nun of the Maryknoll Sisters, who's done so much important work in Japan, she is as wise and inspiring as she is kind. She conveyed the messages of the two great faiths in one concise and aligned way, promoting love, peace and understanding amongst all. #zen #christianity #peace #love

Thinking 'nothing' is far from easy, sitting for hours is painful, not to mention the freezing conditions, but the results are invaluable. Zazen 座禅 (zen sitting meditation) is a key to unlocking creativity and focus for anything, but most importantly it's a path to happiness and a world of peace.
